#Review: Christmas At Lilac Cottage by Holly Martin #Giveaway @hollymartin00 @BonnierZaffre @bookouture

In my last post before Christmas it seemed only right to review my final Christmas themed novel of the year…and as an extra little gift I am running a christmas giveaway for a Paperback copy of the book for one lucky reader, see the link at the end of the post!

I hope all of my readers have a very Happy Christmas and I will see you all on the other side.

Snow is falling on White Cliff Bay, where Christmas is magical and love is in the air . . .

Penny Meadows loves her cosy cottage with its stunning views over the snow-topped town of White Cliff Bay, but not even the roaring log fire can keep her personal life from feeling frozen.

That is until dashing Henry and his daughter Daisy arrive at the cottage for the festive season. And between decking the halls and baking delicious mince pies, Penny realises there is more to Henry than meets the eye.

With sleigh bells ringing and fairy lights twinkling, the ice-sculpting competition and Christmas Eve ball are in full swing. Will Penny be able to melt the ice and allow love into her heart? And will she finally have the perfect Christmas she’s been dreaming of?

I was a bit late to the Holly Martin party and have spent this year catching up, so when Zaffre Books published last year’s Christmas novel, Christmas at Lilac Cottage, in paperback this year it was the perfect opportunity for me to grab a copy and devour it…which I did!

Set in White Cliff Bay, Holly Martin’s cosy seaside town the story introduces us to Penny, an ice sculptor who lives a very secluded life.  Especially since she had a nasty split from her fiance several years ago in which he publicly humiliated her.

Having decided some company would be nice as well as some extra money she has rented her annex and we meet her awaiting the arrival of Henry and Daisy. The Father and Daughter are moving so that Henry, a master carpenter, can start his new job with the local furniture company. As they get to know each other they don’t just bond with each other but she bonds with Daisy aswell.

This is a beautiful story which is easy to read and scattered with lots of festive cheer. There are lots of Christmas themed events and activities to keep the festive feel flowing through the book so that it is the absolutely perfect book to read over the Christmas period.

A huge thanks to Holly Martin and Zaffre Books for the eARC of this book in return for my honest review.
