TAG: 10 Random Facts About Me!

I was recently tagged by the very lovely Lisa at Rambling Lisa’s Book Reviews with this simple(ish) tag she created to provide 10 Random Facts about yourself. Lisa is a wonderful blogger so you should all shuffle on over to visit her and not read my facts which are probably just repeats of things I’ve already told you! Lisa has recently started doing regular and exclusive giveaways and is setting up a book swap club aswell so that’s pretty darn cool!

My Random Facts

  1. I was offered a job in New York when I was 21 but I turned it down because my Grandfather was taken seriously ill the same day and it sent me into a bit of an emotional tailspin.
  2. I used to compete in local show jumping and cross country competitions. I barely ride anymore though, last time I rode the horse didn’t want to co-operate and I looked like someone who didn’t know what they were doing!
  3. I was brought up in a methodist household but I no longer believe in any God, I’m really interested in religions though and I’ll talk to people about their belief systems for days.
  4. I collect Funko POP’s (Well I did before Hubs put a ban on me buying any more!)
  5. I once came second in a national karaoke competition, I think I was 23 at the time, the person who won was my boyfriend at the time who I actually met in the first round!
  6. I’ve only had a couple of nicknames but the only one that has ever stuck is Robbo, I’ve had that one since I was 14
  7. I hate housework! With a vengeance! I like things clean and tidy but will avoid doing the housework for as long as possible.
  8. I love cooking, I cook almost everything from scratch, I love knowing I’ve created my food. I cannot bake though, do not expect a cake or anything resembling a cake to come from my kitchen!
  9. I have three tattoos, one on my wrist, and two on my back, a small one on my lower back which was my first when I was 21 and a large cross over most of my upper back. I was planning a chest piece, a sleeve, and a wrap on my leg when I started developing keloids (scars which over grow) It’s now too risky for me to have any more tattoos which I’m gutted about.
  10. I only started wearing skirts about 3 months ago, I’ve never felt comfortable in them before even as a little girl I refused to wear them.

This is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me. I enjoy walking, PlayStation, reading, heavy metal, and spending time with my Niece.

    1. That’s what I worry about with having more tattoos! I’ve seen some really scary pictures and my last keloid went completely out of control and is now about 10x the size the scar it started out as so I’m really nervous about anything that could cause one now.

  2. I love horses, wish my parents had the money when I was younger, I started English horseback riding as an adult, after the first fall I had to rethink, can’t really afford breaking bones.;-( I hate housework with a passion. And do not have and tattoos or nicknames. I need to look up keloids….

    1. I used to help out at a stable in return for riding time when I was a teenager it was a good exchange they didn’t have to pay me and I got to ride regularly. I originally learned because my bio-Dad was a groom so I had access to the horses he worked with. I’ve always wanted to learn to ride western but I will have to do that when I’m in the States sometime.

  3. Thanks for the chance to get to know you better! I’ve got a lot of tattoos. Stopped counting when I reached 10. I own my own businesses so my boss won’t care if I get an arm piece 😂 I totally agree with the making food from scratch. It’s nice to know where it’s all coming from

    1. Oh wow! I’m fascinated by tattoos! I really wish I could get more!
Yes cooking from scratch is the best, being able to buy everything yourself and know where it came from then cook it is the best.

    1. Haha! Yeah I don’t really ride anymore, just an occasional hack when I can afford it, and I’m not very good I’m so out of practice. But at least I can sit on the horse I suppose! 😂 Lovely to have you back, hope you had a nice time in Estonia!
