A Week to be WIld - JC Harroway

#Review: A Week To Be Wild by J.C. Harroway @jcharroway @MillsandBoon #MillsandBoonDare

A daring game of temptation

She’ll play his game—but only by her rules!

Alex Lancaster is an adrenaline junkie. He’s also a sexy British billionaire who should come with his own warning signs. When Libby insists she is done with men who live on the edge, Alex coaxes her out of her comfort zone—professionally and very, very personally. Libby’s taking a high-stakes gamble, but the pay-off could win her everything…

This is it. The moment where we enter into a new world of Mills & Boon. With a new look, new feel and a new line of books called Dare they have launched themselves into 2018 with vigour and passion and A Week to be Wild is the first book in the Dare series and if the others are anything like it then it’s going to be a humdinger of a series.

Libby is visiting England for a conference, she’s a marketing professional and she’s here to build her business. She does not bargain for adrenaline junky billionaire Alex Lancaster who also just happens to be hotter than hot (of course). When things between them heat up she turns it into a game, determined to keep solid boundaries between them.

OK…so…damn this book was steaming, like seriously, my paperback copy almost caught fire it was so hot. There is so much sexual tension between these two, even when they give in it’s still there afterwards. They are on fire. Halloway has managed to create a believable storyline with so much tension, passion, love and still a very good reason for pulling away and creating a will they/won’t they moment.

I’ll be honest I sometimes find the rich billionaire thing a little tiresome but I just loved Alex, he wasn’t stuck up or entitled and he felt real. I loved that he was an adrenaline junkie. He enjoyed doing things that anybody would enjoy, he just wanted to get out of the office and have fun and I can totally respect that about him. I had a lot in common with Libby, and I loved how focused she was and that even with a truckload of hurt in her past she found success.

The only things that upset me, it’s far shorter than I would have liked, I felt like there was so much more to this story that we just don’t know both before the end and after. All I’m hoping is that there will be a sequel…please? Pretty, pretty, please?!

I have to thank J.C. Harroway and Mills & Boon for the ARC so that I could read and provide my honest opinion.

It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. This is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me. I enjoy walking, PlayStation, reading, heavy metal, and spending time with my Niece.

  1. To be honest- this book sounds proper fun, the premise of it! After reading quite a few of those billionaire novels I developed a certain dislike for this character but again, it sounds Alex is nicely written and I wouldn’t mind trying this title out myself! Great review 🙂

    1. This book is great fun and Alex is a breath of fresh air in comparison to a lot of the billionaires written in these books. I really wanted so many more pages in this book!
