Review

I LOVED J.C. Harroway’s first book in the Dare series A Week to be Wild so when she offered me the second book, Her Dirty Little Secret, I jumped at the chance to read it and she did not disappoint giving me a hot French billionaire who was taking no prisoners especially not the socialite fashion designer who broke his heart when they were teenagers.

Harley was in love with Jack, well Jacques, as he was back then. Then she discovered something that destroyed everything she thought about love and she took their love and ripped it apart breaking both of their hearts in the process. Several years on and he holds the keys to the kingdom she wants to build but he’s not playing ball and she needs to win him over.

I loved both of these characters who have so much in common it’s almost infuriating watching them pull against each other the whole time. They have both worked hard to be seen as separate from their families, they see helping people as being really important, they were both hurt irrevocably by their break up as teenagers.

As the story develops they start to come together for a common goal but can they overcome their differences, can they start to dig through the lies and can Harley be honest about the secret she has kept from Jack all these years? This story sat heavy with me as I willed these two to find their way and become the couple they were meant to be.
